Benjamin Harrison


The 23rd President of the U.S., Benjamin Harrison, died of pneumonia on March 13, 1901. He was the grandson of the U.S. President William Henry Harrison, charge that he occupied after winning the elections in 1888. His administration was characterized by unprecedented economic legislation, a civil-service reformation and the creation of National Forests.
