Augustus FitzRoy


On March 14, 1811, died Augustus FitzRoy, the third Duke of Grafton. He was the youngest ever British Prime Minister, assuming the charge at 33 years old, position that he resigned two years later, after many critics for allowing France to annex Corsica. Nevertheless, he struggled to respond to the challenge of maintaining Britain’s global dominance.
